The population health transformation of New Ulm, Minnesota is featured in a compelling documentary that highlights the bold, groundbreaking initiative aimed at reducing heart disease. Currently in year ten of a 10-year journey, the Heart of New Ulm Project is producing incredible financial and health outcomes that are preventing disease versus treating it after it occurs.

Originally from Portland, Oregon, Nathaniel Hansen is a Peabody Award winning, (national) Emmy nominated producer, and an award winning Director, Cinematographer, and Editor.

The Story of New Ulm follows members of the rural community of New Ulm, Minnesota and their 10 year initiative to eliminate heart attacks. Filmed during the project's 7th year, the film explores the community and the improvements made as they've worked together in one of the country's most innovative and radical population health experiments.
